The Directorate for Forest and Hunting Management announced that after conducting activities in cooperation with the Police Directorate in the municipality of Pljevlja - Economic Unit "Vezišnica", they seized illegal timber. They say that "the vehicle was thus secured and the illegally cut timber was successfully stored in a safe location."
"On the same day in Petnjica, in the "Turjak" Economic Unit, officers of the Directorate for Forest and Hunting Management discovered the illegal cutting of conifers. Immediately after informing the director of the Directorate for Forest and Hunting, the illegally cut timber was confiscated and, with the successful organization of transport, transported from forests to safe storage. In both cases, reports were submitted and the complete documentation was handed over to the basic state prosecutor's office for further processing," the announcement states.
The Acting Director of the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds, Miloš Rajković, as they stated, pointed out that day by day the Management achieves better results in the decisive fight against all illegal activities, "and stores the confiscated timber in safe locations out of reach of them. emphasized that even in these cases, confiscated and stored illegal materials will be divided for firewood, when the quality guarantees it, in accordance with legal procedures."
