The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation announced that they provided 74.920 euros for the payment of compensation for students in dual education, for March and April of the 2023/2024 school year. years.
2023 euros have been provided for the payment of allowances for first and second grade students in dual education for March and April of the 2024/73.920 school year. The amount of compensation for students of the first grade is 80 euros, while for students of the second grade it is 120 euros.
"In accordance with the Law on Vocational Education, a school can conduct vocational education as a whole or the theoretical part at school, and practical education or part of practical education at the employer. If practical education is conducted as a whole (dual form of education), the mutual rights and obligations of students and the employer is governed by an individual education contract concluded by the employer and parent. The student has the right to compensation for the duration of the individual education contract with the employer," the announcement states.
The fee is for the first year of education at least 10 percent of the average net salary in Montenegro, for the second year of education at least 15 percent of the average net salary in Montenegro, which for September 2023, according to Monstat data, amounts to 800 euros
"Funds for fees for the first and second year of education are provided by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, while for the third year, compensation is provided by the employer. A certain number of fees for the first year was provided by the Chamber of Commerce. The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation pays compensation to vocational schools in which realize dual education, which make payments to students' bank accounts, for which they must have the consent of their parents/guardians," the announcement concludes.
