A meeting of representatives of that department, the Police Administration and the Federal Police of Germany was held in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at which a contract was signed on the donation of a patrol boat worth around 250.000 euros to the border police of Montenegro, the MUP announced.
"The topic of the meeting was the Report of the Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) of the Federal Police of SR Germany in Montenegro, which aims to assess the viability and the possibility of introducing a system for managing information and cases of the Montenegrin police, which is a prerequisite for membership in the European Union. That report also indicated an overview of the current situation in relation to the current software systems and processes in order to prepare a project for the modernization of the existing IT infrastructure of the MUP and UP," the announcement states.
They say that the representatives of the MUP and the police expressed their gratitude to the German Federal Police for financial and expert support, with an emphasis on donations intended to strengthen the capacities of the border police.
The meeting was attended by State Secretary of the MUP Jovana Mijović and Acting Director of the Police Administration Aleksandar Radović, together with their associates. The German delegation was led by Mathias Schaef, assistant director of the German Federal Police for the fight against crime, and Florian Wedekind, liaison officer of the German Federal Police.
