MPNI: Electronic enrollment in kindergartens until June 15

Electronic enrollment of children in public and private preschool institutions for the 2024/25 school year. year begins on May 23 and will last until June 15, 2024, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI) announced.

"This applies to children who are enrolled in the institution for the first time or children who were dismissed from kindergarten during the previous school year. Children who attended preschool education and education programs in the previous year only sign a contract with the Kindergarten Management, for which the date will be later published", the press release points out.

MPNI added that electronic enrollment in preschool institutions is done through the portal www.upisi.edu.me which, according to parents and guardians, makes the enrollment procedure much easier.

"The procedure only requires the entry of the child's registration number, which removes other necessary data from the database, such as the birth certificate, confirmation from social work centers and other documents," said the MPNI.

"The portal will be available until June 15, 24 hours a day. If the parent or guardian is not able to enroll the child electronically, there is certainly the possibility of enrolling in a preschool," reads the MPNI announcement.

From that government department, they said that they continue to work on raising awareness of the importance of preschool upbringing and education and that they strive for the goal of as much inclusion of children as possible in preschool education.

"Also, the Ministry is actively working to solve the problem of overbooking of kindergartens, especially in Podgorica and on the coast, as well as to create better conditions in the institutions through the upcoming procurement of new furniture," concludes the MPNI statement.
