The citizens of Tivat today found the body of a brutally killed dog in the sea between Župa and Bonić.
The animal was obviously deliberately suffocated in the sea, because a 20-kilogram weight was tied around the dog's neck, to which the dog was tied with a chain.
Upon a citizen's report, the Communal Inspection of the Municipality of Tivat and the Utilities Department immediately went to the scene, and with the help of the Una Montenegro company, they pulled the dog ashore.
Due to the condition it was in, the dog had probably been in the sea for several days.
As they said from the Municipal Inspection, the dog did not have an embedded chip.
The police have been informed about everything, and they are undertaking investigative actions in an attempt to determine who is the perpetrator of this crime, which is being prosecuted under the Animal Protection and Welfare Act.
