If the previous government was responsible for the murder of Duško Jovanović, the authorities who now lead the country are also responsible, Mladen Milutinović, editor-in-chief of the daily "Dan" announced this evening.
In the place where the founder and former editor-in-chief of "Dana" Duško Jovanović was killed 20 years ago, the anniversary of his murder was marked tonight.
"Many announcements and promises must be quickly and urgently realized, so that the dark book of this unexplained crime does not finally begin to open. This obliges us to act quickly, so that for the peace of Duško's soul we no longer gather here in this place. Brave and free Montenegro has opened the glorious side of its history in which Duško is one of its greatest sons. We will continue to shed light on this crime and bring all those responsible to justice," Milutinović said at the anniversary of Jovanović's murder.
He added that four years have passed since the change of government, and nothing has been done.
"If by some chance, God forbid, something like that happened to one of them, I am sure that within 24 hours, Duško Jovanović would put their names on the table and the criminals in prison," said Milutinović.
The Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić attended the commemoration of the anniversary of Jovanović's murder in front of the editorial office of "Dana" in Podgorica.
The event was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Political System, Justice and Anti-corruption, Momo Koprivica.
Also present were the general director of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) Boris Raonic, the director of the Radio Television (RTV) Nikšić Nikola Marković, the executive director of Gradska TV Vladimir Otašević, the acting (acting) assistant to the editor-in-chief of "Dana" Mili Prelević.
The police closed a section of 13 July Street from the roundabout to the intersection leading to the Millennium Bridge.

Jovanović was killed on May 27, 2004, after leaving the newsroom, and investigators have not yet discovered who fired the fatal shots.
For two decades, the prosecution and the police have been unable or unwilling to find out who ordered the killers to draw their guns and fire shots at Jovanović, as well as who shot the editor-in-chief of "Dana" with a machine gun.
Since the murder of Jovanović in Montenegro, several supreme state prosecutors, eight governments and police ministers have changed, but despite this, it is still not known who ordered, organized and carried out that crime.
So far, only Damir Mandić from Podgorica has been convicted of participation in the murder. In April 2017, the Appellate Court upheld the verdict for complicity and sentenced him to 19 years in prison.
