Tomorrow evening, the first fashion show for people with disabilities will be organized on Freedom Square in Nikšić. The review is organized by the non-governmental organization (NGO) "Mozaik" as part of the "Empowered - visible" project, and the start is scheduled for 19 p.m.
"The goal of the fashion show is to promote inclusion and empower women with disabilities through creative expression and public performance. Within the fashion show, clothes designed and sewn by women with disabilities will be presented. For the purposes of the fashion show, more than twenty pieces of clothing will be presented, and creations at the event will be worn by people with disabilities, friends and associates of our organization, including members of the Roma and Egyptian communities, as well as attendees of the Day Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities and People with Disabilities from Nikšić," said "Mozaik" .
As part of the aforementioned project, the NGO "Mozaik" presented a mural with the image of Frida Kahlo and Judy Human on the wall of the "Desetka" building to fellow citizens, and the production of an art film about women with disabilities from Montenegro is also planned.
The project "Empowered - visible" is supported through the program "CSOs in Montenegro from basic services to policy formulation M'BASE". The project is financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.
