If all property-legal relations are resolved in time, that is, the residents of Donja Lastva recognize the general interest and agree to conclude contracts with the Municipality on the officiality of the passage of new infrastructure through their properties, the long-awaited construction of the sewage system in the settlement of Donja Lastva could finally begin on the 15th. September.
This was heard last night at the presentation of the project for the construction of a new water supply and sewerage infrastructure in that Tivat settlement, which was organized for the residents of Donja Lastva in the Tivat Municipality building.
The details of the upcoming big project that will finally solve the long-standing burning problem of that part of Tivat with waste water drainage were presented to the residents of Lastov by Vlado Brguljan, director of the Directorate for Investments of the Municipality of Tivat, project manager in the Directorate, engineer Bogdan Čučković, as well as Marjan Ribica, president of the Lastva Local Community.
"It is about part of the works planned for phase V-2 of the project to improve the water supply and sewerage infrastructure on the Montenegrin coast, which is financed by means of a loan from the German KfW bank. At the international tender, the construction company 'Jedistvo' from Tivat was chosen as the most favorable bidder for Phase V-2 in Tivat "Uzica, which will carry out works with a total value of 28,5 million euros. Among them are projects to improve the existing water supply network in the settlement of Donja Lastva, i.e. the construction of the sewage system in Lastva, which does not exist now," said Brgulja, adding that the Municipality of Tivat is ready that in addition to KfW's loan funds and this arrangement with "Jedistva", in the coming period it will gradually implement other works on the improvement of the local water supply and sewerage infrastructure, as evidenced by the fact that this year around two million will be invested in the area of Krtol euros of money from the city budget.
"We are doing it in the future in other parts of the municipality, so we are ready to do it in Donja Lastva as well, to build parts of the tertiary network that are not currently covered by Phase V-2. It is important that the locals recognize the general interest and that we all work together to overcome all the problems that would could slow down the start of the implementation of this project, which, if we resolve all property-legal relations and the citizens realize that a part of this infrastructure must pass through their properties in order for everyone in the settlement to be connected to the sewage network, could start as early as September 15," Brguljan said. .
Čučković said that it is necessary to solve the so-called the officiality of the passage so that the contractor can be introduced to the work as soon as possible. He presented the route of the new water and sewage infrastructure, where it is planned to replace the existing main distribution water supply for Donja Lastva with a new one of a larger diameter, i.e. to build a completely new network for the collection and disposal of waste water.
The main routes of the new infrastructure will go through the body of the Jadranska magistrala on the stretch from Pijavica to Bašić, that is, on the local road through Obala Filip Milošević. The width of the trenches in which the new water and sewage pipes will be laid will be from 0,6 to 1,7 meters, and it is calculated that the works, which will be carried out in phases, due to the need to ensure the acceptable functioning of the new traffic infrastructure, will probably last two years .
The president of the Ministry of Health of Donja Lastva, Marjan Ribica, called on fellow citizens to show solidarity:
"I would like to thank everyone for coming and to appeal to all neighbors, godparents and relatives that we have to resolve this amicably. We have this summer to come to an agreement so that this will finally start in September. Until now, we have been the last hole in the pipe - I hope that we will not in the future, and for everything that is disputed, MZ Lastva is at your disposal. From next week, we will define what hours our premises will be open, where all these graphic materials will be displayed with a detailed route of the new infrastructure "We will be mediators who will be in contact with the legal service of the Municipality of Tivat. Together we will prepare everything necessary and then we will go to the notary to certify it, so that the works can start as soon as possible," said Ribica.
He added that the priority for all the residents of Donja Lastva is to solve the long-standing problems with the lack of sewage infrastructure, due to which waste water flows into the sea, and unpleasant odors often spread through the settlement.
