The non-governmental organization "Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities - Podgorica" was supported by the Decision of the Management Board of the Employment Agency of Montenegro, from October 2, 2023, the project "Support for the employment of the disabled" was approved, said the NGO.
"The aforementioned non-governmental organization, in accordance with the aforementioned Decision of October 3, 10, has been implementing a project for 2023 months through which 8 persons with disabilities were educated for 8 months and 3 persons with disabilities were employed for a period of 5 months, in connection with that, the employment contract for two persons will be extended for an additional 6 months," they said.
It is stated that persons with disabilities were educated and later continued to work in auxiliary accounting and administrative jobs, and that one person with disabilities was employed as a driver for the needs of the Association.
"The project planned the purchase of a vehicle for the needs of the association as well as the procurement of office and other materials for the needs of the project. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the NGO partner organization 'Association for the support of children with developmental disabilities and their families of Montenegro' from Podgorica," he says. in the announcement.
They say that the goal of the project is to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities through training and training for specific occupations, through employment and regular salary receipt, affirmation of the possibilities of persons with disabilities and reduction of prejudices of society towards this population, as well as improvement of the capacity of two non-governmental organizations of persons with disabilities for implementation of projects.
"The project is being implemented in the premises of the project holder - NGO 'Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities - Podgorica' at the Old Airport in Podgorica," the announcement concludes.
