"From recognition to processing" is the name of another seminar on medicinal plants, which was organized by NGO Natura in Kolašin. The participants were interested in the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, as well as those who are already successfully engaged in this in the north of Montenegro.
"Legislation, state measures and incentives as well as other available funds in that area were also presented. There was a lot of interest in the seminar. About 20 participants were expected, but that number was exceeded. In the continuation of activities related to breeding education in the processing of medicinal plants, we are planning a practical workshop that will be implemented within the nursery of the Forestry and Hunting Management Administration in Trebaljevo, on the sample plots that the NGO Natura formed several years ago," said the NGO.
They also announce the production of material for packaging medicinal plants, as well as planting material, which will be distributed to seminar and workshop participants in the fall.
At the end of the project, a mini fair of medicinal herbs, fruits and processed products will be organized.
The seminar was supported within the project "Strengthening civil society to support the sustainable socio-economic development of Montenegro" financed by the European Union, co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro and implemented by Help and Juventas.
