The construction of a new park in Block VI in Podgorica, at the corner of Mihajlo Lalića boulevard and Meša Selimovića street, which began in mid-March, will be completed in the coming days, the capital announced.
"We have significantly improved the state of public areas in the city and I am sure that the new park in Block VI will be a gathering place for our fellow citizens of all ages. The park covers about four thousand square meters, and apart from the ambient decoration, to the almost very neglected area, the new park will to be completed with a children's playground, walking paths and recreational facilities", said the mayor of Podgorica, Olivera Injac.
The announcement states that the new park will replace a once neglected green area that was often the target of vandal attacks.
"In addition to regular maintenance, city companies work hard to create new value for citizens, both through the construction of new parks and roads, but also through preparatory work for significant infrastructure projects that await us in the coming period," said Injac.
The work on the construction of the park is being carried out by the city company Zelenilo, with the help of the Municipal Services and the Housing Agency, according to the announcement.
