A Montenegrin family from Berlin supported the activities of the Capital of Cetinje and sent a donation to the "Lovćen" Basketball Club, it was announced from the office of the Mayor of the Capital, Nikola Đurašković.
"The donation followed a meeting with the mayor of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, and discussed numerous initiatives and support for Cetinje. During the meeting, it was announced that cooperation will continue in the coming period through new joint initiatives," the announcement reads.
They add that while requesting anonymity, when handing over the donation, "they especially emphasized that they are driven to humanitarian action in Montenegro by a deep attachment to their homeland."
"The cult of ancestors, solidarity and the feeling that Montenegro is their primary community is the motive of constant concern and a sense of obligation and duty that drives the Montenegrin family from Berlin to continuously help projects to improve the quality of life in Montenegro," it added.
From Prijestonica, they emphasized that when donating, they insist on anonymity while emphasizing their Montenegrin identity, "thus affirming the feeling of love for the country they come from, referring to the tradition of Montenegrin solidarity that lasts for centuries."
"The Mayor of the Capital and the Capital of Cetinje express their special gratitude to the Montenegrin family from Berlin for their attitude towards Cetinje, the donation sent, but also the mood for future joint cooperation", they concluded.
