With the funds of the Eco-Fund, in the amount of 28.748,80 euros, the Municipality of Mojkovac rehabilitated four wild landfills, which, due to their appearance and imposed function, were a direct threat to the environment and the health of citizens in those locations, CG News reports.
By applying for Eco-Fund funds at the previously announced public competition, the Municipality of Mojkovac, as they say, achieved the right to a subsidy for the implementation of a project to remove waste dumped into the environment.
"In this way, in addition to reducing the number of wild landfills on the territory of Mojkovac, the forest land, streams, water sources, and the Tara River, as the pearl of the Montenegrin river course, were preserved," the announcement states.
They said that "in this way, as an institution that aims to preserve the environment, we appeal to citizens to take an active part in preserving what is common, to contribute to a cleaner environment with their habits, for the sake of all of us who share our living space, and to dispose of waste and they select in the places provided for that".
"For us, and for our future," the announcement concludes.
