The independent auditor gave a positive opinion on the financial reports of the company National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG), it was announced from that state company.
The announcement states that NPCG ended the last business year with a positive financial result.
"After the audit of NPCG's financial statements, it was determined that they give an objective and fair presentation of all materially significant aspects of the financial position, which is why a positive opinion of the independent auditor was obtained," NPCG announced.
The management of NPCG, it is stated in the announcement, believes that in the coming period even more effective results will be achieved in all segments of management of the protected natural areas of Durmitor, Biogradska gora, Lovcen, Lake Skadar and Prokletije.
It is emphasized that he is the director of NPCG Vladimir Martinovic stressed that the positive performance of the business was influenced by numerous internal and external factors, above all household management and a responsible attitude towards the resources given to management.
"To this end, we emphasize strong cooperation with key institutions and organizations and the non-governmental sector with the aim of protecting biodiversity, designing and implementing projects with various entities, developing cooperation with internationally significant organizations and regional protected areas, as well as more effective promotion of the tourist offer of all five national parks on the national and international level in cooperation with the tourism industry", the statement added.
They emphasize that in the area of improvement of space protection, both in cooperation with other subjects and through the implementation of projects, NPCG invested significant funds in equipping the Physical Protection Service, providing material resources, technical equipment, vessels and vehicles and uniforms for supervisors.
"Within the education segment aimed at raising awareness, especially among young people, we are proud of our cooperation with schools and other educational entities and the implementation of various thematic workshops in which we promoted the values and beauty of protected areas and pointed out the importance of nature protection and harmful effects for biodiversity," the announcement added.
Despite the growing challenges when it comes to protected areas, NPCG believes that they will achieve more significant results in the coming period.
"Apart from achieving the financial sustainability of the NPCG, as well as improving the professional and physical protection of the area, we are obliged to do so by the increasing interest of domestic and foreign visitors in the tourism offer based on nature", the announcement concludes.
