"Vlado Milić" elementary school students are the winners of the final of the second season of the "In the game and knowledge without borders" competition, which ended on Saturday, said the NGO Civil Center of Montenegro, adding that the second place was shared by the students of "Njegoš" elementary schools from Cetinje and "Mahmut Lekić" from Tuzi.
"Seven schools that achieved the best placement in regional competitions competed in the grand final," they said in the announcement.
According to this NGO, the students of "Vlado Milić" elementary school were awarded with special gifts, diplomas and medals, "as well as the winner's cup as a symbol of recognition for their efforts, skills and knowledge that they showed during the competition."
"The school, the winner, received a gift voucher of the National Book of 300 euros," they added.
They pointed out that the event in 2023/24 gathered over 900 students from more than 60 schools.
"The aim of the event is for children to show their competitive spirit, belonging to the school and the community through exciting and fun activities. The games in this competition are extremely fun, dynamic and exciting, and affirm the dexterity, skills and knowledge of the students," they said.
The Civic Center pointed out that the varied activities included quick quizzes, team work, solving puzzles and practical challenges, "providing an opportunity for comprehensive development of students' abilities".
As they said, the project also has an educational character, for which the Eco Fund and the Environmental Protection Agency were responsible, "which in thematic games affirm health, healthy lifestyles, nature and environmental protection".
"This event promotes healthy lifestyles and provides opportunities for all students to participate in free sports and entertainment. The goal is to offer children a new experience, which would enrich their education," the announcement concludes.
