The President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, signed a contract with the Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, for the co-financing of the construction of a basketball court in the Municipality of Trebjesa, worth 26.000 euros.

The municipality of Nikšić, as stated in the announcement, contributes to the improvement of the city with its daily work, especially sports facilities, in order to encourage the population to engage in some physical activity, but also to provide adequate conditions for those who are actively engaged in sports.

"The local self-government is focused on the construction of new and reconstruction of existing sports facilities in Nikšić, allocating significant funds for these purposes. We almost had a tender for a field in Kličevo, to which no one responded, but we will repeat it again. I am glad that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, we will implement the construction of a basketball court in the Trebjesa Municipality, which will mean a lot to our fellow citizens," said Kovačević.

In this way, the Ministry of Sports and Youth continues with the activities of construction, reconstruction, adaptation and equipping of sports facilities, with the aim of improving the infrastructure conditions for playing sports in Montenegro.

The signing of the contract was also attended by the Vice President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Zoran Tomić, and the Chief of Staff of the President, Marko Perućica.
