The Department for Seismology of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology today registered an earthquake measuring 15 units on the Richter scale, with an epicenter two kilometers west of the town of Čarađe, near Nikšić, at 38:3,5 p.m.
As they stated, according to preliminary processing data, the focus of this earthquake was located at a depth of 15 kilometers.
"Based on the theoretical model of the macroseismic field of this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area," the announcement reads.
