The chief negotiator of Montenegro with the European Union (EU), Predrag Zenović, presented prizes to the winners of the video contest #MyCity on the way to the EU, which the Ministry of European Affairs (MEP) organized for primary school students in May on the occasion of Europe Day, it was announced. from MEP.
The announcement adds that the competition was organized with the financial support of the EU through the EU4ME project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI).
The first place was won by Filip Bigović, a 7th-grade student from "Njegoš" Elementary School from Cetinje, and Edin Bećirović, a 7th-grade student from "Nedakusi" Elementary School from Bijelo Polje. Petra Bogdanović, a student of the 7th grade of Elementary School "Njegoš" from Kotor, won the second prize, and Andrija Deretić, a student of the 8th grade of Elementary School "Milorad Musa Burzan" from Podgorica, won the third place. A group of students of the 8th grade of Elementary School "Mahmut Lekić" from Tuzi, Drinčić Helena, Iva Dedvukaj, Najla Niković and Krnič Bisera won a special award for team effort.
"I am especially glad that we have children from all three regions of Montenegro, because European integration applies to all of us and precisely together we can contribute to its success. You, by continuing to be diligent, to learn and discover new horizons, to be curious and creative, and we, on the other hand, work hard to ensure that you have as many opportunities as possible for education, training and work. You are the generation that tomorrow will have the opportunity to study anywhere in Europe, because we believe that by the time you you are becoming a faculty member, Montenegro will be a member of the European Union," Zenović said after presenting the awards.
MEP stated that the task of the contestants was to create and publish a reel on their Instagram/Facebook profile, in which they will present the city they live in, by presenting natural beauty, rich culture and inspiring the people of his city, as well as the dynamic changes and events that shape his path to the EU.
"Over 50 applications were submitted to the competition. The expert jury that chose the best consisted of representatives of the Ministry of European Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and the young social media influencer Nikolina Radusinović," the announcement concludes.
