The capital city: the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism in 2021 transferred citizens' data to the GIS portal

The capital city did not hand over the data and is not the owner of the disputed GIS portal, nor does it have jurisdiction over its management, it was announced from the capital city of Podgorica.

The Capital City stated that they received a response from the company "GIS Solutions" that the company received citizen data during 2021 from the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism.

"The contested data on the planning documentation, which also includes personal data, was not provided by the Capital City, nor does the Capital City have them in its possession in the form in which they are presented. Also, the data was not distributed through the Capital City's web presentation, which completely denies the allegations. DPS councilor Stefan Ćulafić, and we believe that in one of the following addresses, he will check the facts before stating untruths and alarming the public," the announcement reads.

"As the Capital does not have any contract with the mentioned company, nor did we participate in any way in the exchange of data between them and the Ministry, please contact them for additional clarifications, and so that the public can be properly informed," it added.

Member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the Podgorica parliament, Stefan Ćulafić, said earlier today that a simple search on the portal of the Geographical Information System (GIS) Podgorica provides personal data of citizens of the capital, such as a unique ID number and the like.
