The incomes of certain local officials in Pljevlja are significantly higher than four years ago, when they replaced the opposition benches with positional ones.
This is shown by data on income and assets that local officials from Pljevlje submitted to the Agency for the Prevention of Conflict of Interest.
The most money, almost 59.000 euros, was spent last year by a married couple Milan i Gordana Lekić. Until August last year, Lekić was the executive director of Rudnik uglja, and he is currently in the position of chairman of the Board of Directors of the largest company in Pljevlja. His wife is the director of the municipal company "Čistoća". The income of Milan Lekić, who is also the president of the Municipal Board of New Serbian Democracy (NOVA) in Pljevlje, is up to seven times higher than what he had four years ago, when his party was in opposition. Until his dismissal in August 2023, Lekić as executive director of Rudnik received a salary of 3.000 euros, and after that his salary was higher and amounted to 3.652 euros. As a member of parliament, he earned 914 euros in two months last year, and he received 150 euros in one month based on the councilor's fee.
As stated in his property record that he submitted for 2020, Lekić, as an adviser to the president of Nova Andrije Mandić earned 500 euros per month, and 165 euros as a councillor. In this year's asset register, Lekić reported that he had 76.680 euros in his current account, which is more than double compared to the year before, when he had a little more than 35.000 euros in cash.
While he was in the opposition benches in 2020, Lekić had 17.000 euros in his current account. That year, he gave his consent to the inspection of his bank accounts, while in the property record for the previous year, he did not allow it.
His wife Gordana, who was appointed acting director of "Čistoće" in June last year, earned 1.892 euros per month, while before her appointment she had a salary of 1.000 euros. She is also the highest paid director of all managers of local public companies and institutions in Pljevlja. In 2020, she earned 540 euros.
Lekići own a cottage of 63 square meters and a house of 120 square meters.
He is the second highest paid public official Nikola Rovčanin, president of the Municipal Committee of the Democrats in Pljevlje, and current member of the Parliament of Montenegro. As the director of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, he earned a total of 42.808 euros last year, i.e. from 2.810 to 5.310 euros per month, which he received in June last year. He received 320 euros from the Parliamentary Committee on Education, and he also mentioned an income of 778 euros from a business company.
His wife had a salary of 1.000 euros last year.
Rovčanin reported 20.000 euros in cash, and real estate - a house of 88 square meters and an apartment of 64 square meters. They own three cars, two older than 20 years, and a 2013 Hyundai. On the basis of two loans, Rovčanin owes 63.000 euros.
Before the change of government, Rovčanin worked in Democratic Montenegro where he received 642 euros a month and had no savings. He was in debt for about 15 thousand euros.
More than 35.000 euros were earned by Nova councilors last year Slobodan Radovic and his wife. His average salary at Rudnik uglja, where he works in the Public Relations Department, was around 1.600 euros. As a councilor, he earned a total of 1.885 euros last year, and 1.156 euros from the out-of-court settlement with "Vodovod". His wife's annual salary at the "Eko Bajka" Public Enterprise was from 786 to 826 euros. Radović is repaying four loans, with a total value of more than 30 thousand euros.
And he is one of the officials whose current income is significantly higher compared to the period when the Democratic Party of Socialists was in power with its coalition partners. Radović earned about 450 euros a month in the company "Vodovod".
Only for the president of the Municipality of Pljevlja Daria Vraneš (NOVA) can say that he earns less now than when he was an opposition member. Vraneš reported that last year, as the president of the municipality, he earned 1.286 euros per month. As a doctor, his income was higher.
The average salary of his wife was around 550 euros.
Vraneš registered two cars, 18 and 21 years old. He did not consent to access to his bank accounts.
Salary of the President of the Municipal Assembly of Pljevlja Jovan Tošić, who performs this function professionally, amounted to 1.150 euros. She additionally received 150 euros a month as a board member's allowance, and in the last two months of last year, 270 euros each. As secretary of the Commission for Appointments in Rudnik Uglja, from July 2022 to June last year, she received an average of around 540 euros per month.
Both Vraneš and Tošić reported that last year they earned 450 euros each based on the winter vacation. Nor did Tošić consent to access to the bank account.
Councilor of Nova Snezana Macanović and her husband Vule Macanović, secretary of the Secretariat for housing and communal affairs, traffic and water, earned close to 28.800 euros last year. The secretary's monthly salary was 1.209 euros, and he earned 4.345 euros from his freelance profession in three months. Snežana received 1.800 euros as a member of the council, 630 euros per month from freelance work, and since September she has been employed at "Čistoća" and earns 917 euros per month.
Former President of the Board of Directors of the Coal Mine Dusan Janjušević (Democrats) until October of last year, when he was relieved of his duties, he earned 3.450 euros per month, and 2.414 euros for the last three months. As a professional associate, he received a total of around 1.600 euros in two months last year. In 2020, Janjušević earned 650 euros per month.
And his party mate Bojan Krvavac today he earns significantly more in the Coal Mine than four years ago in "Vodovodo". He reported a monthly salary of 2.197 euros, while he earned 460 euros in "Plumbing".
Annual income of PES councilors Milomir Drobnjak and his wife amounted to more than 27.000 euros. Drobnjak earned 965 euros per month, in addition he had a board fee of 217 euros, and from SC "Ada", as a member of the board of directors, he received 600 euros. His wife had a monthly income of 1.087 euros. Drobnjak reported 23.760 euros in his current account.
Vice President of the Municipality Darko Gazdić (PES) reported monthly earnings of 1.296 euros. As for real estate, he mentioned a 56-square-meter apartment that he inherited, as well as 8.000 euros in cash.
Strujić Harbić is the highest paid among opposition members
Bosniak Party MP Kenana Strujić Harbić and her husband earned around 50 euros last year. Strujić Harbić, as an MP, earned between 1.600 and 2.100 euros, and as a member of the council she earned 690 euros. She also reported four monthly incomes from her regular job at the Coal Mine, which ranged from 977 to 1.629 euros. With an income of 1.100 to 2.100 euros, her husband, employed at the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant, earned 16.827 euros last year.
The former president of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Rajko Kovačević (DPS), while he was the head of the local administration, received a salary of 1.470 euros, and after the termination of his position in the company where he works, about 1.470 euros. Kovačević also earns EUR 270 in councilor fees per month. His wife earns 860 euros a month. The married couple Kovačević has a total debt of more than 72.000 euros. About 790 euros are set aside for loan installments per month.
The annual income of DPS councilor Tanja Dragašević and her husband, an inspector in the MUP, amounted to more than 34.000 euros. Dragašević earned 1.350 euros from the councilor's fee, 12.090 euros from her regular job in education, i.e. more than 1.000 euros per month, and another 583 euros from other engagements. Her husband's monthly salary was 1.426 euros, and he earned an additional 280 euros a month from rent.
Directors' salaries are slightly higher than a thousand
Salaries of directors of local companies and institutions last year ranged from 1.020 to 1.350 euros, with the exception of the salary of Gordana Lekić, director of "Čistoće", who earned 1.892 euros.
The monthly salary of Darko Gačević, director of Local Roads, was 1.020 euros, Radivoje Bujišić, acting director of Communal Services, 1.347 euros, director of "Heating" Vlad Tošić - 1.165 euros.
Acting director of "Vodovod" Mladen Jaćimović, who has held this position since January of this year, reported that last year as an employee of this company he earned around 900 euros per month, the director of the Library Bojana Đačić - 1.050, the director of the Aleksandar Ostojić Gallery - 1.129, the Museum, Dejane Drobnjak about 1.200 euros, and the director of the Cultural Center Slavko Tošić from 914 to 1.745 euros, which he received in December.
The director of the General Hospital in Pljevlja Saša Grbović, who is also the president of the OO SNP in Pljevlja, earned 2.621 euros per month last year.
