The Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North has supported projects in the field of water supply and waste management for the municipality of Žabljak in the total amount of over 2,2 million euros, announced the responsible minister Vladimir Martinović.
The municipality submitted to the Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North a request for a project to build a transfer station with an access road. Estimated value of works 1.670.000 euros and professional supervision 50.000 euros.
Earlier, the Ministry supported the construction of the Razvršje water supply (phase I) in Žabljak with a proposal for measures to solve the loss, worth 259.500 euros, as well as the preparation of an analysis of the current state of water supply with a proposal for measures to solve the loss, worth 230.000 euros.
Considering the fact that it considers the projects important for improving the quality of life, the Ministry responded positively to the municipality's request and forwarded them for further implementation to the Directorate for Capital Projects, which should implement them together with the municipality of Žabljak.
Martinović pointed out that with this kind of support, the Ministry continues to encourage the development of the north and the solution of environmental problems.
"This is an excellent example of effective cooperation between the municipality and state institutions, when the municipality properly submits the complete documentation. The implementation of these projects will significantly improve the infrastructure of the municipality of Žabljak and improve the quality of life of people, through the improvement of communal services," concluded Martinović.
