The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Naida Nišić, said that the Draft Law on the Uniform Disability Expertise has been prepared.
"This law will introduce a new methodology for disability expertise based on the human rights model. "The reform of the disability expert system will contribute to the establishment of fairer, more equal and simpler access to the rights to financial support and services intended for persons with disabilities," said Nišić.
During the conference on the work of the ministries in the previous period, she said that the Government of Montenegro established the Proposal for the Law on Psychological Activities, the drafting of which was coordinated by the department she manages.
Nišić pointed out that it is very important that the Draft Strategy for the prevention and protection of children from violence has also been drafted.
She said that the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare is currently working on the preparation of information regarding the progress achieved in the fight against violence against children during the previous 15 years.
"For the first time in history, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare entered the growth plan. With the growth plan itself, we have foreseen the improvement of the social card", said Nišić.
According to her, the plans for the next period include the improvement of the entire system of social and child protection.
"Reforms regarding disability expertise, prevention of violence against children, digitalization of public services, as well as the implementation of the 'Guarantee for Youth' Program are in focus," said Nišić.
She said that the Ministry is working on the proposal of the Law on Permanent Season which "will be introduced as lex specialis".
"They will improve the institute of seasonal employment, all with the aim of improving the business environment for the economy as part of the expressed problem of labor shortage, especially in tourism...", she said.
She said that the "Youth Guarantee" will be completed quickly.
"It will enable young people to find work much easier and faster...", Nišić explained.
According to her, work is being done on the digitization of public services, with a focus on "improving the services of the Employment Service and Centers for Social Work".
