At the meeting of the A5 initiative for strategic cooperation in the area of security, stability and Euro-Atlantic values in the Western Balkans, the question of financial investment in cyber security was addressed, in terms of strengthening personnel capacities in national agencies and CIRTs in order to provide all necessary conditions for the work of employees in these institutions, which is important for national security.
This was announced by the Ministry of Public Administration on the occasion of the regular meeting of the A5 initiative, which was attended by the General Director for Infrastructure, Information Security, Digitization and e-Services, Dušan Polović.
As they said, Polović informed the members of the initiative about the activities of Montenegro in terms of the adoption of the new Law on Information Security, which will be debated in the Parliament in the coming days, and which, according to the Ministry, is harmonized with the EU's NIS2 Directive.
He particularly emphasized the importance of the formation of the Cyber Security Agency of Montenegro, as well as the strengthening of the Government's CIRT and SOC.
