"Due to the complexity of proving foreign diplomas obtained under dubious circumstances, the Working Group came to the conclusion that Montenegrin competent institutions, through international assistance, request information about educational institutions that are under investigation by competent authorities in their home countries - Serbia, BiH and Kosovo", they pointed out from MPNI.

From that government department, they added that after obtaining the necessary information, the Working Group will propose that a decision be made on suspending the procedure for recognizing educational documents obtained at specific institutions, in accordance with the Law.

They stated that according to the available data, the most problematic diplomas are from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Kosovo.

"For these reasons, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation will initiate agreements on cooperation with the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, for joint activities to prevent possible abuses of illegal issuance of educational documents. The working group appeals to the citizens of Montenegro not to engage in such abuses, because will face criminal-legal consequences in each individual case, given that knowledge is not bought but acquired," concludes the MPNI statement.
