The Directorate for the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds announced today that from tomorrow, June 24, 2024, citizens can submit a request for the allocation of firewood at a very favorable price, which is determined by the official price list, in the business premises of all regional units of the Directorate.
On this occasion, the Acting Director of the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds, Miloš Rajković, invited citizens to apply for the allocation of a certain amount of firewood, from three to ten cubic meters, depending on the needs, at a favorable price of 11 euros per cubic meter including VAT. om.
In the announcement of the Administration, it is stated that those citizens whose application is approved must, after paying the fee, hire someone at their own expense to cut down and remove the firewood assigned to them from the forest.
"We expect that the citizens will respond to this call of ours, considering the great financial advantages that the Directorate for Forest and Hunting Management offers them. Namely, based on these prices, for example, our citizens can purchase about ten meters of firewood for less than 85 euros, plus the costs of felling and transportation, which is much more favorable than the prices they paid illegally to illegal resellers, where the price of one meter is between 60-70 euros," Rajković pointed out.
He added that the application deadline is July 10, 2024, by which time citizens can submit a request in all business premises of regional units of the Administration.
"The request must contain information about the applicant, the amount of firewood requested, as well as information on whether he has his own private forest and how many members there are in the community in which he lives. Each regional unit must receive the request, otherwise, they must immediately report to the central Administration if they encounter any obstruction. After the checks, citizens who meet the conditions will receive firewood, and the total amount that will be distributed in this way is 44.708 m³, based on the Forest Management Program. In this way, citizens will be able to obtain firewood in time wood at a good price," said Rajković.
