Procurement, delivery and installation of a led video wall for a large studio, changes and additions to the Program and Production Plan, received documentation regarding the selection of a new Public Service Ombudsman...

Members of the Radio Television Council of Montenegro (RTCG) discussed this at the 41st session held via the Zoom platform.

The President of the RTCG Council, Veselin Drljević, said that they had discussed on several occasions the acquisition of the most affordable led wall for a large studio.

Isidora Raičević, in charge of public procurement in the Public Service, said that this procedure has been unsuccessfully announced several times.

She said that since February they have only one, the most favorable offer. She said that the companies that applied procedurally complied with the conditions and "as far as they are concerned, they can move on".

The right offer has arrived

Dejan Vujović, Assistant General Director for Technical Services of the Public Service, expressed his satisfaction that "they finally have the right offer".

"We were looking for a lot of specific characteristics of the wall itself, because it needs to serve a large studio. It was important for us that it does not heat up too much, that its shelf life is as long as possible", said Vujović, adding that "this is an extremely important investment for RTCG".

He said that the Public Service is currently renting a video wall for which they are allocating certain funds.

Drljević asked whose "service obligations are in the event of an unforeseen service error".

Vujović pointed out that the specifications stated that the ice wall must have several spare panels.

"For the previous wall, we did not change a single panel. Each works perfectly. In addition to the panel, we get backup power supplies and the diodes themselves. We are lucky to have a very good service...", Vujović said.

According to him, the equipment for the ice wall comes from China.

RTCG Council member Amina Murić said that it is good that they are discussing the LED wall, which is about half a million euros.

"Purchasing enables us to do more favorable and better quality work. In this way, we will make certain savings. Through the financial plan itself, we approved this public procurement. When it comes to procurements like this, it is important that the public is aware of the complete procedure", Murić assessed.

Vujović said that the manufacturer gives a guarantee for the ice wall for one year and that he repairs any defect at his own expense.

Council member Naod Zorić asked if it is more economical for RTCG to continue renting the video wall.

Vujović replied that he did not know the exact price of renting the wall, and that he did not know exactly how much the new ice wall would be paid for.

The RTCG council, with five affirmative votes, gave the green light to the most favorable led video wall.

They are surprised that the show was left out of the PP plan

During the session, they also discussed changing the Program and Production (PP) plan.

Council member Peđa Marsenić said that "it is a bit strange that the show ('More than summer') which lasts for three months was omitted from the PP Plan due to a technical error" "'More than summer' is a show that has been running for several years. "A technical error or omission for a show that lasts three months is somewhat unacceptable," he said.

Director of the Television of Montenegro, Milan Knežević, said that the show has been running for years, but that it is running as part of a wider program content.

He said that it is part of the broader content of the program plan of the Montenegrin Public Service.

Council members also accepted this agenda item.

Predrag Marsenić, one of the members of the Council, asked, under the item "Miscellaneous", "how far they have come with the documentation related to the election of the RTCG Ombudsman".

Balša Milić, from the legal department of the Public Service, said that the competition is open until Saturday.

"One application was received from Mr. Todor Brajković," Milić said.
