The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) returned to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica the case files related to last year's re-appointment of Boris Raonic to the position of General Director of Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG), the head of ODT Podgorica Duško Milanović confirmed briefly to "Vijesta".

Special prosecutor and spokesperson of the SDT Vukas Radonjić said that the Law on Amendments to the Law on Special State Prosecutor's Office stipulates, among other things, that the SDT is responsible for the criminal prosecution of high-ranking public officials, for the criminal offense of abuse of official position, and that the members of the RTCG Council and general director of RTCG are not high public officials.

"That's why, after the amendments to the law came into force, the criminal case, with all the evidence found in the investigation, was submitted to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, as the actual and local authority," Radonjić told Vijest.

The SDT has been investigating the cases against Raonic and some members of the RTCG Council for more than a year, and the chief special prosecutor Vladimir Novović recently, during a guest appearance on Television Vijesti, claimed that the necessary documentation, minutes and audio recording of the Council session had been obtained, that persons had been heard as suspects and as witnesses.

"I think that the prosecutor, as he informed me, also asked for the ballots to be delivered to him, in order to check something that is important for him to make a decision. As the prosecutor informed me, I expect that the prosecutor's decision will be made very soon".

He said that, as far as he was told, the members of the RTCG Council did not answer the questions.

"Voting is secret and therefore it is necessary for the prosecutor to obtain those ballots". On June 16 last year, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office submitted a criminal case against individual members of the RTCG Council, because public officials were reported for the criminal offense of abuse of office.

The non-governmental organization Media Centar filed a criminal complaint against the President of the RTCG Council Veselin Drljević and members Filip Lazović, Naod Zorić, Predrag Miranović and Amina Murić on suspicion that they refused to execute a final and enforceable court verdict and enabled the elected general manager Raonic to obtain illegal benefits.

At the end of July, a criminal case was also submitted to the SDT against three suspects on grounds of suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of abuse of official position by inciting individual members of the Council. In question are the reports against Raonic, representative of the legal service Želimir Mićović and RTCG lawyer Zorica Đukanović.
