In the storm in the Čakovica region, the protection service of the "Skadar Lake" National Park saved two foreign citizens.
Previously, according to the knowledge of Vijesta, a tourist boat overturned due to a strong storm.
"The Protection Service of the Skadar Lake National Park is regularly on the ground and carries out activities aimed at protecting the area. Also, whenever necessary, supervisors are the first to come to the aid of all users of the area when unwanted situations arise. That was the case today as well. Protection Service in the area of Čakovica, in this protected natural area, with a quick intervention, they saved two foreign citizens who found themselves in trouble due to the overturning of a tourist boat due to the storm that engulfed the whole of Montenegro in the morning hours," states the announcement of the National Parks of Montenegro.
They say that the Protection Service is available to all tourists and local communities for any help. "We appeal to all users of the space and tourists that before planning a stay in a protected area, they should be well informed about the weather, because it is one of the first conditions for a stay in nature to be safe", they conclude.
