Proceeding from common interests for the improvement of sports activities and realization of public interest in the field of sports, and in accordance with the needs of the development of Montenegro, the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU) concluded a cooperation agreement today, it was announced from the Ministry of Sports and young people.
"The agreement was signed at the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts by the Deputy Prime Minister for Demography and Youth and the Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, and the President of CANU, Academician Dragan K. Vukčević," the announcement states.
The Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts with this agreement, as stated by the Ministry, establish a common interest in cooperation related to the improvement of knowledge and scientific research and development capacities of Montenegrin sports; work on lexicographic and encyclopedic projects, as well as publications in the field of sports; holding joint thematic gatherings, round tables and tribunes; promotion of jointly published publications, organization of exhibitions and other activities that realize the activity and goals of the signatories of the Agreement.
"It was jointly concluded that the Cooperation Agreement between the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Government of Montenegro represents a significant step towards the integration of scientific research and sports development in Montenegro," the statement added.
The Ministry announced that connecting the scientific community and the sports sector enables better utilization of resources and expertise, "which contributes to the comprehensive development and promotion of a healthy lifestyle", as well as that through joint efforts and cooperation, this agreement lays the foundations for the long-term progress of sports and health of young people in Montenegro.
"The signing of the Agreement was also attended by Academician Ljubiša Stanković, Vice President of CANU, Zoran Jojić, General Director of the Directorate for Sports, Danilo Medojević, Head of the Directorate for Registration of Sports Organizations, Jelena Šćepanović, Protocol in the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Government of Montenegro, Novak Vukadinović, Head of the Service CANU and Vesko Ninković, an independent advisor in CANU," the announcement concludes.
