It is an outright lie that people who have a salary of more than 1.000 euros and who are privileged are "rebelling", said the former editor-in-chief of "Pobjeda" Draško Đuranović.
In a post on Facebook, he said that on July 4, when he was fired, 106 people were employed in Pobjeda, of which 45 were in the newsroom and another six were in the newsroom.
"Their average salary does not exceed 850 euros, even though they are journalists who make Pobjeda," Đuranović added.
The Nova Pobjeda Trade Union announced today "that the colleagues who announced the strike were privileged with salaries above 1.000 euros, which did not reflect the actual situation of the majority of our members".
"Regarding the Printing House, it is known that, by order of the owner Petros Statis, 17 months ago it was decided that Pobjeda would be printed in the printing house 'Vijesti'. I have no intention of speaking publicly about the cost price, because it is an internal business matter of Pobjeda. but I'll just mention: that's why the workers of Štamparija Pobjede are guaranteed only two working days during the week, apart from the two-hour work on Wednesdays when we print 'Objektiv'", says Đuranović.
He said that the actions of the "old" management of Štampari have real income.
"Eh, yes: I congratulate the Trade Union for taking care of the employees in Pobjeda", Đuranović concluded.
The Nova Pobjeda trade union expressed its support for the new management led by the director and editor-in-chief Nenad Zečević earlier today.
They stated that the new management, led by Zečević, promised concrete measures to improve the "already low average salaries".
"We want to emphasize that the colleagues, who announced the strike, were privileged with salaries above 1.000 euros, which did not reflect the actual situation of the majority of our members. The Nova Pobjeda union gives full support to the new management in their efforts to improve working conditions and the financial position of all employees. We emphasize that the information that half of the colleagues are on strike is incorrect, because only twenty out of a total of 112 employees have announced the strike. With this attitude, we invite all colleagues to join our efforts for better working conditions and support the changes that the new management plans to implement," the statement reads. .
