The Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro (JPNPCG) announced today that entrance to the national parks Durmitor, Biogradska Gora, Lake Skadar, Lovćen and Prokletije will be free on July 13 on the occasion of Montenegro's Statehood Day.
"This is an opportunity for all citizens to spend their holidays in nature, enjoying activities such as kayaking, boating, hiking, rafting, hiking, cycling," the announcement states.
JPNPCG added that in anticipation of the holidays, they are reminding citizens of the benefits they can get by purchasing an Annual Ticket for all five national parks.
"With this ticket, which you can buy at toll booths and online at a price of 13,50 euros, you get the opportunity to visit Durmitor, Biogradska gora, Prokletije, Skadar Lake and Lovćen an unlimited number of times during 2024. They state that it is important for visitors to be informed in a timely manner about the passability of the weather conditions on the trail, as well as to use appropriate hiking shoes and clothing.
"We remind photography and nature lovers not to use drones during their stay in national parks unless they have the necessary permits from the competent state authorities and the approval of the Public Enterprise for National Parks. We warn visitors who want to use quad bikes or cross-country bikes that driving outside of categorized roads is strictly prohibited and that by deviating from the roads they threaten important and protected habitats," concludes the JPNPCG announcement.
