On the occasion of July 13, the Statehood Day of Montenegro and two decades since its establishment, the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva organized a great concert of Yugoslav and world film music that will remain in the fondest memories of the audience for a long time.
"The city music of Budva, with its well-known evergreen repertoire and great performance, provided a great overture for a warm summer night in front of the old city walls and prepared the audience for a kind of music-film time machine that will follow. The full city square enjoyed the continuation of the evening with world and Yugoslav film music which was brought to Budva by the Novi Sad revue orchestra headed by maestro Fedor Vrtačnik and together with top soloists, Bojana Stamenov, Marijana Šovran, Dada Topić, Siniša Radin and Matija Canat. A special charm of the concert 'Velika filmska aventura', whose music was edited by Milan Stupar was given by Sloboda Mićalović, a regionally favorite theater and film actress, who led the audience through the history of big movie hits based on Filip Rajković's screenplay," emphasized TO Budva.
As they add, the track from the movie "Star Wars", which has been celebrating courage, hope and adventure for 50 years, opened the movie night in the most beautiful way.
"This was followed by a composition from the Italian film 'Life is Beautiful', about sacrifice in the most difficult times during the Second World War, and then the audience was reminded of how much the Yugoslavs contributed to the fight against fascism through the music from the film 'Walter defends Sarajevo'. are Yugoslav film hits such as 'Devojko mala', 'I'm going away, and I love you', 'Floyd', 'My friends are friends' and recognizable rhythms from Otpisani, Balkan Express, but also musical themes from globally known film franchises - 'Star Wars', 'James Bond', 'Mission: Impossible' and timeless hits such as 'Over the rainbow' and 'Beautiful Maria.' the last tracks 'Pukni zoro' and 'Još ne sviće sjūnja zora', rewarded with thunderous applause and ovations", according to TO Budva.
Since its foundation, exactly 20 years ago, the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva has, as they point out, set new standards in the management of the tourist product, thanks to the importance of the city it represents, but also thanks to the employees and managers who translated their visions and ideas into numerous, significant projects. and was often a pioneer building a recognizable brand of Budva - a tourist leader in the region.
