Traffic on the reconstructed main city streets - part of Mediteranska and 22. novembar street - was opened today.
A new roundabout was built, and the Podgorica company "Bemax" received three million euros from the Municipality for the work performed.
As "Bemax" told "Vijesti" two days ago, the works were completed a month earlier, because they had additional works that the Municipality requested to be completed. Essentially, the tender stipulated that the works would last 160 days, that is, they would be completed on July 15.
The Vice President of the Municipality, Jasna Dokić, and the Secretary for Investments, Joko Popović, officially marked the opening to traffic at 10 o'clock this morning. The editorial staff of "Vijesti" was not invited to cover the event.
The subcontractor was Blaž Đukanović's company BB Solar.

A fountain was built at the roundabout, and the reconstruction of the streets should solve the problem of flooding in the city center during heavy rainfall.
