Montenegrin police arrested Inga Pelinyagre yesterday at the airport in Podgorica, allegedly on the warrant of the Russian Interpol center, claims her husband Maksim. In his address to the editorial office of "Vijesti", he said that Inga did not receive a certificate from the police that proves and clarifies the alleged Russian Interpol warrant.
Regarding the case of Inga Pelinyagra, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), which is headed by Danilo Šaranović, did not respond to "Vijesta" today, and the response did not come from the Police Directorate (UP) either.
Aleksandar Saša Zeković, an independent councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City of Podgorica and a member of the Civic Initiative "May 21", addressed Šaranović's Department.
As he told "Vijesta", he asked Saranović to order an investigation into the behavior of the police officers of the Border Police Sector and the Podgorica Security Department towards citizen Inga Pelinyagraja.
The request to check and evaluate the actions of police officers, he added, was sent to the Council for Citizen Control of Police Work.
The husband of Inga Pelinyagra told "Vijesta" that Inga was born in Ukraine, that she has a passport of the Russian Federation, and that she obtained political asylum in Italy.
"The documents were submitted on February 25, 2022. All documents were checked in Italy for two years, and she received a residence permit in Italy and a passport that allows her to travel around the world (Hague Convention from 1951) from the police in Rome in May of this year" , he told the newsroom.
As he said, Inga landed in Montenegro from Rome to the airport in Golubovci on July 22 at 18.00:XNUMX p.m., where, he claims, she was "immediately arrested at passport control and deported to Russia".
"They didn't offer any proof, they just said that the Russian Interpol has been looking for her for 12 years. How is it that the Interpol is not looking for her in Italy, but in Montenegro? Since she always openly opposed the regime of Vladimir Putin (President of the Russian Federation, Inga is threatened with imprisonment in Russia because of her political beliefs," Maksim told the "Vijesti" newsroom.
As he said, he is in Italy with a minor child.
"I don't know what to do, my wife is in the Podgorica Security Department," he said and added that he has no communication with Ingo, and that a lawyer will try to do so on Wednesday.
In his address to the Minister of Internal Affairs, as he told "Vijesti", Zeković asked Šaranović to order that officers from the Police Internal Control Department visit Inga Pelinyagre in the detention facilities, where she has been staying since July 22, 2024 at 18 p.m.
