The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, condemned the negligence and arson that caused serious consequences for nature and threatened nearby buildings on the Gorica hill.
The commander of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City, Zdravko Blečić, said that the fire in Gorica was reactivated this morning.
Milatović stated on the X social network that since last night, for the umpteenth time, the "lungs" of Podgorica are burning.
"I strongly condemn the negligence and arson that caused serious consequences for nature and threatened nearby buildings," said Milatović.
He thanked the fire services and all citizens for their superhuman efforts to bring the fire under control.
"I also welcome the quick reaction of the competent authorities in finding those responsible for causing the fire. Our relationship with nature must change, because only we can preserve the beauty and wealth we have," said Milatović.
