The big fire that broke out three days ago on the border of Budva and Cetinje municipalities, spread to Paštrovska Gora, and the wind helps the fire to "swallow" the forest and low vegetation and spread further.
It is impossible to approach firefighters from both municipalities, because the terrain is burning, and extinguishing is only possible by plane.
For now, no settlements are threatened and Budva firefighters are on the ground day and night to prevent the fire from spreading to the inhabited part.
The head of the Budva Protection and Rescue Service, Dragan Božović, told "Vijesta" that he sent an invitation to the Directorate for Emergency Situations to engage the plane in extinguishing it.
As the worse inaccessible terrain points out, they cannot be approached by vehicles.
"Two teams of ten firefighters with vehicles are on the ground, one near the Duljevo and Rustovo monasteries, and the other at the Lipa location near Brajić. The fire is far from the populated area, and the firefighters are on the ground to respond in a timely manner," he said.
The locals of Paštrović appeal for help in order to engage aviation due to the lack of manpower and resources in extinguishing the fire on Paštrovska Gora, where numerous churches and monasteries, rich flora and fauna, dense forests, hiking trails, old huts and corrals are threatened, and in those places the firefighters do not they can access.
"Also, if the fire on the mountain is not stopped now, the Lightland park of light illuminations, which is an important tourist attraction, will be threatened. the villages of Kuljača, Rustovo, Rađenovici... the monastery of Duljevo, Rustovo, St. Spiridon, which for the time being is under control by the fire service, but due to the terrain, the cell of St. Stefan Dečanski," reads the appeal of the locals.
