Locals of Virpazar, Crmnica and surrounding villages blocked the Sozina tunnel. They are protesting at the switch for the tunnel in Virpazar.
The protest is secured by the police, who have stopped traffic on both sides of the tunnel.
The blockade started at 17:18 and lasted for XNUMX:XNUMX.
The traffic to the coast took place via Paštrovska Gora, which the gathered citizens at previous protests only allowed after an hour.
The organizers told "Vijesti" that in the middle of Sunday, they submitted requests and guidelines for solving the current problem of passing through the tunnel to the company "Monteput" and the Municipality of Bar.
Aleksandar Plamenac said that the protest will last an hour, symbolically, because they want to give the authorities the opportunity to take concrete steps in accordance with the demands in the coming days.
If that doesn't happen, he said, they will continue with several hours of protests and block the tunnel.
"We are giving the opportunity to sign a quality contract in the coming days. The proposal to amend the Law on Roads did not have support in the parliament, we immediately expressed our displeasure. Some disappointed us, some confused us, it is not clear to us why some announced their support, so she was absent," said Plamenac.
It is not clear to him why anyone is against them getting privileges to pass through the tunnel. They think that there is no discrimination here and that their example is unique in Montenegro.
"Monteput" asked us to specify our requirements, which we did and submitted a few days ago, but there is no answer yet", he said and pointed out that they expect the Municipality of Bar, "Monteput" and the Government of Montenegro to urgently get involved in solving this problem.
They ask that state-owned company to invest in the community in which it operates and to employ the people of Crmic.
Miloš Petranović said that the increased subsidy for passage through the tunnel for the people of Crmnič announced by the mayor of Bar, Dušan Raičević, is not a permanent and good solution.
"We are looking for a permanent solution, the signing of a contract, a document that will oblige the Government of Montenegro and Monteput to provide free passage through the tunnel to the people of Crmnica," he concluded.
The organizers pointed out that in this process they want to cooperate with the institutions as much as possible, that they have given them more opportunities to work in the interest of the citizens of Bar and Crmnica, and that they want to prevent all possible abuses.
They concluded that politicians cannot be trusted, because they say one thing and do another, that's why they call the authorities to account because "Crmnica has given a lot to the municipality of Bar and Montenegro".
They are asking for unlimited free passage for citizens living north of the Sozine ramp, i.e. Crmnica residents and residents of Virpazar, Ostros and the surrounding villages, as well as at least one free passage per day for citizens of Bar on the south side of the ramp who come to Crmnica for work, care of property or family and other reasons.
