All available crews of the Budva fire department, ten trucks and the entire workforce with the help of crews from Podgorica, Bar, Ulcinj, Kotor and Tivat managed to put out the fire that reached the gas station in Reževići, and the villages of Krstac and Katun.
The head of the Protection and Rescue Service, Dragan Božović, said that the fight with the fiery element carried by the wind lasted until five o'clock in the morning.
"We managed to put out the fire, the only active branch above the 'Izvor' restaurant in Reževići remained. We are all still on the ground. Already at midnight the wind started to blow and the fire started to descend towards the settlements. We were all on the ground, and colleagues from other cities also came to help us", said Božović.
As he emphasized, everything is now under control.
