The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI) has announced a competition for the awarding of scholarships to students from the Roma and Egyptian community, and the documents are submitted from October 1 to 31.
From that department, it was specified that the right to a scholarship can be exercised by students of basic, specialist and master's studies of the faculties of the University of Montenegro (UCG).
According to the competition, male and female candidates must meet the appropriate conditions - that they are not beneficiaries of scholarships and loans from other institutions or institutions or scholarships awarded by organizations that are direct or indirect beneficiaries of the Budget of Montenegro.
"That they are full-time undergraduate and two-year master's students at an accredited university in Montenegro during the 2024/2025 academic year. years. "That they do not repeat the same year of study a second time, and that they submit a complete and adequately filled application form within the deadline provided by the competition," the MPNI announced.
Students must submit an application, which can be found on the MPNI website, a certificate of studies, a certificate of passed exams from the previous year of study, a statement that they are members of the Roma and Egyptian community (in free form), a certificate of citizenship or a copy of a biometric ID card , contact e-mail address, contact telephone number and postal address to which they receive mail...
The Ministry emphasizes that incomplete and untimely documentation will not be considered, but also that they do not return submitted documents.
In the academic year 2023/2024. year, 15 students were entitled to this scholarship, of which six were from Podgorica, two from Herceg Novi, two from Tuza, two from Bijelo Polje, and one each from Bar, Budva and Nikšić.
"The ranking list of accepted applications is made on the basis of complete and adequately filled application forms," the department emphasized.
"This is in accordance with measure number 5.11. from the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy of Social Inclusion of Roma and Egyptians in Montenegro 2021-2025 for 2024/2025. academic year, with the aim of increasing the enrollment of members of the Roma and Egyptian community at higher education institutions in Montenegro", stated the Ministry of Education and Culture.
