The Administration for the Protection of Cultural Property, acting on the request of the Office of the Chief City Architect of the Municipality of Budva, Jelena Lazić, passed a decision yesterday on the establishment of preliminary protection of the location of the former military complex "Skočiđevojka" for a period of one year.
The decision, which "Vijesti" had access to, was signed by the acting director of the Administration, Balša Perović.
With this, the Cypriot company "KDP promotion and investments limited", which at the end of July received the green light from the chief state architect for the proposed solution of the future luxury tourist complex, has practically frozen the implementation of the project near Režević for a year.
"Based on the documentation of the Administration for the Protection of Cultural Assets and the field inspection of the location, it was determined that it well meets the criteria of authenticity and integrity, the degree of preservation, and also has historical, architectural, landscape, ambient, technical, documentary and other social significance and peculiarities", stated Perović about the explanation of the decision.
During the duration of the previous protection, as stated by Perović, it is necessary to conduct field and archival research, collecting relevant data regarding the Coastal Artillery Battery and the "Skočiđevojka" Barracks.
"Preparation of the Elaborate on determining the value of the property - Former military complex 'Skočiđevojka', and making a decision in relation to the conclusions of the Elaborate. In order to preserve, maintain and use the property during the duration of the previous protection, it is not allowed to carry out any interventions that would reduce the found values of the property in question," stated Perović and pointed out that the appeal does not delay the execution of the Decision.
The investor, the company "KDP promotion and investments limited", in a letter sent to "Vijesti" directly accused the Minister of Culture and Media, Tamara Vujović, that according to her directive, in agreement with his party colleague Krsto Radović, the Administration for the Protection of Cultural Property made an illegal decision.
"We were informed by the media that the Administration for the Protection of Cultural Property passed a decision temporarily preventing the further development of the Skočiđevojka project for a period of one year due to the preparation of a study on determining the value of the cultural property. We are surprised by such hasty and illegal actions of the Administration. It is obvious that the pressure of the city architect Jelena Lazić, Mr. Krsto Radović and Demokrat bore fruit, so the Decision was passed in record time, while we were denied the right to comment on the results of the examination procedure, which is guaranteed by the Law on Administrative Procedure Unfortunately, we do not expect that the Minister of Culture and Media will do this in the second-instance procedure, because this Decision was apparently passed on her directive, in agreement with his party colleague, Mr. Radović, who continues to abuse the state apparatus to achieve his own interests and the interests of his financiers. , they pointed out in this company.
