Representatives of the "Association for the Development and Protection of Crmnica" are dissatisfied because they were not invited to yesterday's meeting, which was attended by the President of the Municipality of Bar, Dušan Raičević, and the director of the state company "Monteput", Milan Ljiljanić.
They believe that the announced subsidies agreed by them are completely contrary to everything that was the previous plan and agreement with the people of Crmnica.

They told "Vijesti" that the joint statement of the Municipality of Bar and "Monteput" after that meeting, where, despite the agreement and previous promises to the people of Crmni, a solution is offered that contradicts everything that has been planned so far, is not valid, nor is it permanent. at the end of the day, it's not even smart, according to them, because instead of costing zero euros, as was foreseen in the proposal to amend the Law on Roads, that solution now costs 200 thousand euros.
"The people of Crmni will not accept anything until a high-quality and legally binding contract is signed, which will represent a permanent solution to the problem of toll collection through the Sozina tunnel, a tunnel that is local, our resource, such as water sources, a huge part of the territory of the national park, the route of the regional waterworks and other things, of which our people currently have nothing," they said.
They added that they do not need alms in the form of what the Municipality of Bar and "Monteput" consider a "solution", which in their opinion is only a basis for manipulations, pre-election advertisements, the "we gave it to you" system...
In this way, they believe, they are only trying to cover up and repair the damage created by the representatives of the institutions.
They said that they don't need it, but only what belongs to them, and they claim that a lot belongs to them.
They reminded the public of some promises, which turned into something opposite, and claim that they do not need such support now.
"Generations of Crmničan men and women who inherited and continued the tradition from their mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, some willingly, some simply because in difficult times they had no other choice but our angry Crmnička karst, and painstakingly worked on their estates, vineyards, heritage , raised famelja, looked after the herd, and many of them also traveled to work every day, mostly by train, for which it was necessary to get up long before 5 in the morning, which was the main means of transportation for many students, finally almost 20 years ago by construction/breaking of the Sozina tunnel, got the opportunity to reach Bar much easier and safer," they said.
Unfortunately, as they pointed out, for many this relief slowly turned into a burden, all because of the toll collection, which for every honest worker, "every hard-working woman and man from Crmničan, represented an obstacle and discouragement to decide to use the tunnel more often, that is, that road direction".
For 20 years, they have been telling political actors that enough is enough, and they will say the same to others.
For this reason, they once again invited everyone except politicians to come to the protest on Sunday, August 11, from ten to noon, when they will once again block the Sozina tunnel.
Raičević promised support in the parliament
The municipality of Bar, bearing in mind the increasingly pronounced development of Crmnica in the past period, and joint efforts to improve and adequately valorize the car resources this area has, expresses its understanding of the need of the locals to resolve the issue of privileges for passing through the Sozina tunnel as soon as possible permanently and in an appropriate manner .
This is written in a letter that the first man of Bar, Dušan Raičević, sent to the representative of the Crmnica citizens' group at the beginning of June, and which "Vijesti" had access to.
"In this sense, I hereby inform you that, as a member of the Parliament of Montenegro, I will launch an initiative for amendments to the Law on Roads, which will prescribe a permanent solution to the issue of passing through the Sozina tunnel for the residents of Crmnica, in accordance with the criteria that will be acceptable to everyone," Raičević wrote.
He added that he will send the initiative to interested fellow MPs from Bar, in order to jointly create the best legal solution for this extremely important issue for the residents of Crmnica.
Raičević was not in the parliamentary hall when the amendment to the Roads Act was voted on, and as he told "Vijesti" earlier, he was out of the country.
If he had been there, according to them, he would certainly have supported this initiative of Democratic Montenegro.
