The Mostin temporary landfill in Rožaje burns throughout the day, and firefighters are engaged in extinguishing the fire, the NGO Euromost announced, and announced that the locals from the surrounding villages will block the Rožaje - Špiljani highway tomorrow as a sign of protest.
Euromost said that this temporary landfill is in this condition every day and that it endangers all citizens living in the area.
They called on the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency and competent inspectors to immediately close this temporary landfill, because, as they claim, of violating the law on waste management, because they are under a legal obligation to close it, and local government to find another location.
