The Ministry of Finance is against the settlement of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) with the director Jelena Perović, on the basis of which she was to be paid more than 33.000 euros, it was announced yesterday from the Basic Court in Podgorica.
They apologized for the incorrect information they gave to "Vijesta" on August 6 that the court confirmed the settlement between Perović and ASK.
"News" were published last week by Jelena Perović and her assistants Nina Paović i Boris Vukašinović signed with each other in front of the Center for Alternative Settlement of Settlement Disputes because, among other things, since the beginning of the mandate, they have not been charged salary supplements, in the amount of 30 percent of earnings.
"In order to provide accurate, complete and objective information to the public, and regarding the text published by the portal 'Vijesti' on August 10.08.2024, 33.000. year, under the heading 'Perović receives XNUMX euros under house arrest', we point out that this is a wrongly given information to this media, which is why we apologize to the public for the mistake", it is stated in the letter of the spokesperson of the Basic Court, judge Ivan Becic, which was delivered to the editorial office yesterday.
In that text, it was emphasized that the settlement concluded by ASK with Perović was not confirmed.
"The settlement concluded before the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution between Jelena Perović and the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption on February 23.02.2024, 30, was not confirmed before the Basic Court in Podgorica, since the Ministry of Finance questioned the settlements concluded between the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of corruption and employees, due to less paid wages (non-payment of a XNUMX percent wage supplement), indicating that the wage calculations were performed correctly and in accordance with the relevant regulations. Consequently, the settlement that was concluded between Jelena Perović and the Agency before the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution was not confirmed by the court, so it did not acquire the status of an enforceable document, but the case was returned to the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution," the correction of the Basic Court states. .
They explain that in view of this attitude of the Ministry of Finance, the court could not confirm the concluded settlements, "but the parties can exercise their rights in civil proceedings".
"During the reporting on the mentioned case, there was a mistake in the transmission of information, since two concluded settlements between the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the employees, before the arrival of the mentioned position by the Ministry of Finance, were confirmed by the court. Due to the wrong information given to 'Vijesti', the Basic Court in Podgorica once again apologizes", the court said.
At the end of February, assistant Nina Paović filed a special report on assets and income, claiming that she increased her assets by 19.954, and stated that the reason was "compensation for damages from the employment relationship".
"Vijesti" then asked the Agency what kind of compensation it was for, but they did not answer, which is why the editorial office used the service of the Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS), in order to obtain information from state authorities.
The Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Basic Court submitted confirmed settlements for the two assistants, although Vukašinović has not yet reported his compensation of 17.171 euros because, according to unofficial information, he has not yet withdrawn the money from the state treasury.
Jelena Perović has been under house arrest since mid-April because the Special State Prosecutor's Office accuses her of abusing her official position and damaging the state budget for more than 100.000 euros, through the allocation of variables to herself and a selected circle of officials, as well as compensation for work in the Agency's working bodies, overtime and work on holidays...
