Most of the Zeta settlement of Mahala has been without electricity for more than an hour, and the Montenegrin Electric Distribution System (CEDIS) says that the poles were destroyed in the fire and that the fire crews cannot get close to them.
CEDIS said that their teams are on the ground and that they are doing everything to restore normal power supply soon.
From the Podgorica Protection and Rescue Service, however, they did not confirm to the News that the fire in the Zeta settlement of Spska had also reached the electricity poles.
They only said that there was an active fire in that settlement, avoiding to answer questions about whether houses and the electrical distribution network were threatened.
The neighborhood is additionally threatened because they are often without water during the day, and the Podgorica company Vodovod i Kanalizacija has announced restrictions on part of that neighborhood as of tonight.
