Part of the candidates for General Director of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) sent a request to the RTCG Council requesting transparency in the election process.
In the letter signed by Časlav Vujotić, Srđan Čović, Slaven Knezović, Sabrija Vulić, Žarko Božović, Snežana Burzan Vuksanović and Andrijana Kadija, it is stated that they, as candidates for the general director of RTCG, request their transparent presentation, public interviews, media coverage, published development programs on the RTCG portal, and all, as they pointed out, for the sake of the public so that citizens can have an insight into their work and the work of the RTCG Council.
"Citizens will thus immediately find out the vision of who and why you elect and evaluate who you favor not only by name," they stated.
In a letter to the media, the candidates point out that the fact that the names of all those who applied will be known about 15 days after the competition ends, points to the lack of transparency of the process.
"The names must be known without special announcements and delays, and the correctness of the documentation can be checked later. This is the only way to avoid manipulation, subsequent addition or subtraction". it is written in the letter that the candidates submitted to the media.
The Council of the RTCG will only know in four days who are the candidates for general director of the public service according to the competition that ended on August 15, because that body changed the procedures and authorized a special commission to open the bids and make a report on the submitted applications.
At the electronic session of the Council, about which the public was not informed, the Decision was made on the formation of the Commission for the opening and review of applications received under the Public Competition for the election of the General Director. The president of that commission is Balša Milić, a lawyer graduated from the RTCG, and the members are lawyers Irena Vešović and Rada Ćupić.
