The first fair of agriculture, rural tourism and related activities, called Products of our region, opened today at Trg Boraca in Kolašin, and brought together exhibitors from several northern municipalities. This event is part of the content marking the Day of the Municipality of Kolašin.
Also, as the President of the Municipality, Petko Bakić, said, similar events aim to enrich the city's non-boarding tourist offer.
"Kolašin, from year to year, is becoming an increasingly important tourist destination, so we are trying to enrich our tourist offer with various sports, cultural and other events. The goal of organizing the Fair is the desire and need to present numerous agricultural producers and hard-working householders in one place, who, within their agricultural households, work hard and dedicatedly, in order to provide themselves, their families and the community with a quality product. This is a way to present Kolašin as a municipality that has something to offer in the agriculture and tourism sector, like other closely related economic activities", said Bakić opening the Fair.
He announced that the organizers will strive to make the event traditional and to improve it year after year.
The local Tourist Organization (TO), which, together with the microcredit financial institution Aleter Modus, helped the Municipality organize the first Fair, aims for the fair to become a multi-day event with increasingly rich content.
"We expect this event to become traditional, and in the coming years to become a multi-day event. This time the exhibitors are from Kolašin, Mojkovac, Bijelo Polje... At the same time, on the town square today we organized a well-attended painting workshop for children, led by Ivona Đukić", said TO director Zorica Milašinović.
The fair was accompanied by a rich entertainment program, so the Women's singing group Đude, Shadow band, Davor Sedlarević performed...
The content of the fair was completed by Saša Dulović, who demonstrated to visitors how he "carves" wooden sculptures with a chainsaw.
