Members of the Sports Mountaineering Club "Soko" from Cetinje successfully climbed the highest peak in Turkey, Ararat, which rises to 5.137 meters above sea level.
In the press release, they point out that this venture represents one of the biggest successes of the club in previous years, after the successful ascents of Kilimanjaro, Elbrus and the High Atlas.
Jelena Vušurović, Dušan Kaluđerović, Saša Radović and Konstantin Tadoraško participated in the expedition, which started on August 24.
"After detailed preparations and training, the team set out on this ambitious ascent. Days of grueling climbing and adaptation to the altitude followed, after which all team members successfully reached the summit on August 29 in the morning hours," SPK "Soko" announced.
They state that the climb to Ararat represents a great success for that club and additional motivation for future challenges.
"We thank everyone who supported this expedition, including sponsors, friends and families of the team members, as well as all those who believed in us. This success is the result of joint work and dedication," it concludes.
