The beginning of this school year for the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and Crnogorski Telekom means the continuation of almost two decades of cooperation and support. Today, it was agreed to continue providing free internet services to Montenegrin schools, and the details of the project and additional directions of cooperation were discussed by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović i Dusan Banović director of the Service Development and Digital Transformation Sector at Telekom.

Crnogorski Telekom has been supporting the educational system of Montenegro for 17 years by providing free internet for about 170 primary and secondary schools and preschool institutions in cities, and during the previous years, Montenegrin schools in rural and suburban areas were also included in the project. The value of internet packages that Telekom gives free of charge to educational institutions amounted to around 100 thousand euros, for the previous year.

Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, on the occasion of signing this agreement, she pointed out: "Today's agreement is not just a formal act, but a confirmation of our joint commitment to provide every student in Montenegro with access to modern educational tools. Through this cooperation, Deutsche Telekom Group and Crnogorski Telekom have shown their commitment to social responsibility and understanding the importance of investing in education. This support is invaluable for improving the education system. We continue together, with a clear vision and goal - that every child in Montenegro has an equal opportunity for quality education. Crnogorski Telekom has shown a responsible and dedicated approach through continuous provision of Internet access and improvement of digital resources in our schools.

I want to thank Crnogorski Telekom for the cooperation and support of our education system, and I hope that we will continue to work together in the future to improve education in Montenegro," concluded the minister.

Digital inclusion, especially in the context of education, is a necessary and self-evident base, according to the words Dušan Banović, With this project, Crnogorski Telekom, in the sector that shapes future generations, continuously enables a carefree relationship in the segment of internet access.

"Telekom provides free internet for about 170 educational institutions, and in accordance with the needs expressed by the Ministry, we will soon include an additional 90 schools and preschool institutions in the project. It is unnecessary to talk about the importance of an adequate internet connection. Crnogorski Telekom provided the foundation - it also needs upgrading, training for the use of modern technologies, which should qualify young people for advanced environments. Deutsche Telekom Group and Crnogorski Telekom treat digital inclusion as a strategic goal, which is being worked on, around whose segments projects and campaigns are created - far from declarative decor. This year, we enabled the use of electronic signature services for all UCG freshmen, and we are willing to go further. In perspective, the Montenegrin economy relies on young people who shape themselves, acquire knowledge, skills and work habits within the educational sector, that's why a responsible relationship, participation, essential contribution, continuity and cooperation, just like the one confirmed today, is needed," he said. Banovic.

The continuation of cooperation on the project of providing free internet services to schools, in addition to expanding the internet to new regional units and about 90 other institutions in accordance with the needs of the Ministry and the education system, also implies the continuation of the previous cooperation, which is the provision of free internet services to all home units of primary and secondary schools schools, and preschool institutions, as well as improving the infrastructure for institutions for which there are prerequisites for switching to more modern solutions.
