The Directorate for Investments of the Municipality of Tivat submitted a request for a decision on the need to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the water supply and waste water drainage project on the Adriatic coast, i.e. for the reconstruction of the main sewerage collector in Donja Lastva and Seljanovo.
"Inspection of the documentation required for public decision-making is possible until September 9. It is about the last preparations for the start of the works, which are financed by means of a loan from the German KfW bank. At the international tender, the construction company "Jedinstvo" from Užice was chosen as the most favorable bidder for Phase V-2 in Tivat, which will soon start carrying out extensive work on the construction of a new water supply and sewerage network in that part of the municipality of Tivat, with a total value of 28,5 million euros. . Donja Lastva currently does not have a sewage network, while the one in Seljanovo was built in recent years. The main project for the sewerage network in Donja Lastva was created during the period between 2004 and 2007, but it was never implemented, which is why it was revised and updated. The newly designed secondary and tertiary sewage network will be connected to the partially already built main sewage collector via a pumping station on the coast near Ivovića Park, or by gravity for parts of the settlement above the collector. The main sewerage collector will further lead the waste water to the previously built city sewage network of Tivat, and that is, through its main collector, further to the waste water treatment plant in Klačina", the documentation states.
The request also states that "during the development of the Main Project for the expansion of the sewerage network in Donja Lastva, contrary to what was known at the time, it was determined that the main collector was largely incomplete compared to the then submitted drawings of the finished state".
"The main collector is in operation only from shaft R42 onwards. The main collector is not designed along the coast, but at an altitude of approximately 20 to 25 meters above sea level, in order to allow gravity drainage. For this reason, the collector passes mostly over private plots and only to a lesser extent over public land," the documentation says.
The deficient new main collector in Donja Lastva was built a few years ago by the company "Civil Enginner" from Podgorica and left it in an incomplete or rather devastated state. For this reason, among other things, new works will now be carried out on the route of the collector on about thirty cadastral plots in Donja Lastva and Seljanovo, which will reconstruct the main waste water pipeline, i.e. replace its existing parts in a total length of 240 meters, and be built new parts with a total length of 320 meters.
Only this minor part of the work on the upcoming construction of the sewage network in Donja Lastva will cost 403.000 euros, and it will be carried out by the construction company "Jednistvo". By the way, the municipality has already paid about 2017 euros for the construction of the current main collector in Donja Lastva in 210.000 to the former contractor, the Podgorica company "Civil Engineer".
The municipality, in cooperation with the local community of Lastva, is currently carrying out an extensive administrative procedure for collecting the consent of the residents of that settlement for the official passage of a complete new water supply and sewerage infrastructure through their properties.
The main routes of the new infrastructure will go through the body of the Jadranska magistrala on the stretch from Pijavica to Bašić, that is, on the local road through Obala Filip Milošević. The width of the trenches in which the new water and sewage pipes will be laid will be from 0,6 to 1,7 meters, and it is calculated that the works, which will be carried out in phases, due to the need to ensure acceptable new functioning of the traffic infrastructure, will probably last two years .
