The seismology sector of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered a minor earthquake at 19.10:XNUMX p.m., with an epicenter five kilometers southwest of the town of Čarađa.
The strength of the earthquake in the hypocenter (focal point) was 3.4 units on the Richter scale, which corresponds to an epicentral intensity of degrees IV-V on the Mercalli scale (MCS).
"According to the preliminary processing data, the focus of this earthquake was located at a depth of 14 kilometers. Based on the theoretical model of the macroseismic field of this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not have caused material damage in the epicentral area," said the Institute.
